About SKYAAC

The SKY Amateur Astronomy Club (SKYAAC) is the official astronomy outreach wing of the Scientific Knowledge for Youth (SKY) Foundation, Lucknow.

We promote astronomy, astrophysics, space science, and scientific temper through practical learning, workshops, and research-based programs.

SKYAAC Vision (2050)

By 2050, SKYAAC envisions a future where every school has an astronomy club, every child can observe the night sky through a telescope, and India stands among world leaders in astronomy outreach and citizen science.

Age Limit & Requirements

  • Age Limit: No Age Limit! Anyone from kids to senior citizens can join.
  • Requirement to Join: The only requirement is a genuine passion for astronomy and scientific exploration.
  • Inclusivity Principle: SKYAAC believes that astronomy belongs to everyone, irrespective of gender, profession, or educational background.
